Who we are
Number Crunch is run by Computis S.r.l., the data controller: Via dell'Aprica 6, 20158 Milano, Italy, VAT number 14813050961. For anything about your data, write to dpo@computis.it.
What we collect
- When you play: the nickname you choose, a random code stored on your phone to recognise it, your scores, taps and challenge times, the place you told us you were playing and how you got to the game (card, invite, shared phone).
- When you join the leaderboard: your first name, your email and the time you ticked the box.
- If you complete your profile: last name, company, role, company type, who handles your accounting and, if you want, your phone number.
- For security: your IP address, used only to block abuse. We store it only in scrambled form and delete it automatically shortly after.
- Usage statistics: anonymous page views and game events (Vercel Web Analytics), without cookies.
What other people see
Your opponents see your nickname. Your first name and points appear on the leaderboard, which is public on this website and shown on the screen at the Computis stand at Wave.
Why we use it
- To run the game and the leaderboards, check fair play. Legal basis: the rules you accept when you join (art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- So that Computis can contact you by email or phone with news, invitations to events and information about its services, using your profile answers to send you what is relevant to your company. Legal basis: your consent, given with the box you tick when you join (art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw it at any time with the unsubscribe link in every email or by writing to us: you keep your points and can keep playing.
- To protect the game from abuse and understand how it is used. Legal basis: our legitimate interest (art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
On your phone
The game saves a few technical items in your browser (local storage): the random code, your nickname, how you got to the game, the place you chose and whether you've joined. They are needed to play and are never used for advertising. No cookies for profiling or advertising.
Who handles your data
Only Computis staff and the providers that run the game for us: Supabase (database, stored in the European Union, Frankfurt), Vercel (hosting and statistics) and HubSpot (the tool we use to contact you after the event). These companies are based in the United States, so some data may be accessed from there. Transfers are covered by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. We don't sell your data.
How long we keep it
- Game data and leaderboards: for up to 12 months after the event, then deleted or anonymised.
- Contact details and profile answers used to contact you: until you withdraw your consent, and for no more than 24 months after your last contact with us.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, limit its use, receive it in a portable format, object to its use and withdraw your consent, by writing to dpo@computis.it. We reply within 30 days. You can also complain to the Italian data protection authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, garanteprivacy.it).
